A Lodge in Brooklyn, who knew?

318 Grand Street
Brooklyn, NY 11211
Located in Williamsburg

The Lodge is what the name suggests, a cozy,  warm, earthy cabin feel minus the snow and the alps. This neighborhood gem is very inviting and unlike most other trendy spots is family-friendly. We tried this out with our entire tribe. (Girlfriends, kids, baby and all) Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating as our party of 11 was quite a handful but he was not bothered in the least. The children were pleased when gifted coloring/activity books and a tin of crayons to explore their creative sides. Moms were pleased because we could enjoy our cocktails and conversations sans interruptions.

We ordered hot toddy's and hot chocolate. Willing to take a gander on who drunk what? The menu was well balanced with a little something for all. Pancakes and sandwiches for everyone. The best part of the meal was the heaping pile of tater tots that accompanied the burger. I feel like a fat kid in a candy shop. The sandwiches were good and service was stellar but we're probably not rushing back to the lodge. If you are in the neighborhood and are looking for a good meal you should definitely stop by. However, our taste buds are on the prowl for stupendous and good just is not good enough. Not when there is so much yummy to discover for our tummies.
